Dana Christensen, Deputy Lab Director of Science and Technology, NREL

christensenDana Christensen is the Deputy Lab Director of Science and Technology at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). He previously served as Associate Laboratory Director for Energy and Engineering Services at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, and as Principal Associate Laboratory Director for Threat Reduction at Los Alamos National Laboratories. He has 29 years of management experience in materials science, fossil and renewable energy, and scientific research in support of the U.S. DOE and other government agencies. Dr. Christensen attended New Mexico State University, graduating with baccalaureate and doctoral degrees in chemical engineering. He also holds a master’s in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico. He is the author of numerous publications on the science and technology of plutonium chemical processing.
