RES Americas Announces the Completion of Pennsylvania’s Newest Wind Project!

Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc., based out of Broomfield, CO, is a company that develops, constructs, owns, and operates projects across North America. The company is pleased to announce the completion of its 139.4 MW Twin Ridges Wind Farm located in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. The project was completed in December 2012 and is now officially operational! The wind farm is owned by EverPower and RES Americas served as the Balance of Plant Contractor.  The Twin Ridges Wind Farm consists of 68 2.05 MW REpower MM 92 turbines that will interconnect to PJM through the Potomac Edison affiliate of FirstEnergy Corporation. Pennsylvania has various other wind farm projects located in Tioga and Bradford Counties, and Wyoming County. Pennsylvania’s continued development of its renewable energy resources will create new jobs and bring additional tax revenue for the state.
