ASES Programs Make a Difference

For more than 50 years, the nonprofit American Solar Energy Society has been leading the renewable energy revolution. Through our various programs we are increasing the use of solar energy across the U.S.

SOLAR TODAY is the award-winning magazine published by the American Solar Energy Society. It is the trusted source for the latest technology, policy advances and analysis. SOLAR TODAY brings together ASES’ professional members as contributors and readers, amid the community of ASES chapters nationwide, to publish industry-leading editorial for 25 years.

World Renewable Energy ForumIn 2012, the ASES National Solar Conference was held under the same roof with the biennial World Renewable Energy Congress. The combined event was WREF 2012. The conference draws prominent speakers and technical presentations from renewable energy laboratories, installations and industries around the world. WREF 2012 examined how renewable energy technologies address the world’s economic, environmental and security challenges at every scale, from off-grid villages to gigawatt power plants.

The ASES National Solar Tour is the largest grassroots solar event in history. The tour offers participants the opportunity to tour homes and buildings to see how neighbors are using solar energy, energy efficiency and other sustainable technologies to reduce their monthly utility bills and help tackle climate change.

With regional chapters in 40 states across the U.S.. we’re part of a powerful, collaborative network. Each ASES chapter is an independent organization with its own membership and dues structure, its own board of directors and its own vision, mission and programs.

ASES Technical Divisions bring together members with similar interests in order to exchange information. Membership in ASES Divisions is a benefit of ASES Professional and Business membership.
