Mayor Michael Hancock today officially welcomed the World Renewable Energy Forum (WREF) to Denver.
Speaking outside the Colorado Convention Center, the Mayor outlined Denver’s growing role as a manufacturing center for renewable energy industries, and the city’s aggressive programs to promote domestic and commercial energy efficiency.
Also on the podium were Conference Chair Dr. Chuck Kutscher, speaking for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory; Susan Greene, president of the American Solar Energy Society; and Lorrie McAllister, executive director of the Colorado Renewable Energy Society.
WREF 2012 comes to the Convention Center on May 13-17.
