Passive Building Design, Construction, and PHIUS+ Certification: Perspectives on Design, Process, and Quality Control

Michael Hindle, President of the Passive House Alliance, United States, Capital Chapter, and member of the Board of Managers, Passive House Alliance United States, and Manager of Consulting at Entellis Collaborative, will give a presentation focused on Passive House design basics, PHIUS+ certification – its benefits and process, and DOE Challenge Home collaboration with PHIUS.

Carri Beer AIA, LEED AP, co-Chair of AIA Baltimore, Committee on the Environment- will be available as a panelist to answer questions about the Architect’s perspective on designing to Passive House standards and working with a CPHC.

TD Albright of Winchester Construction and Theresa Hamm of Entellis Collaborative and project Manager of the Empower House Solar Decathlon Project will be available to speak from the perspective of a Builder/project manager about the experience of helping coordinate a design build collaboration to high performance -PH standards.
