Solar thermal systems can reduce our dependence on natural gas for water and space heating and for industrial processes. Solar thermal is highly efficient, reaching up to 80%, which solar electric is only 17% efficient on average, and it’s a proven technology that has changed little in past decades. So why isn’t solar thermal booming? The industry is challenged by lack of public awareness, lack of financing, and needless regulatory hurdles. This panel of local solar professionals, will tell us what new incentives are required to scale the industry.
