ASES Clean Energy and Water Division Annual Meeting at SOLAR 2007

The ASES Clean Energy and Water Division will conduct its annual meeting during the upcoming SOLAR 2007 Conference on Wednesday, July 11, 5:30-6:30 PM in a room to be announced in the final program.

The primary item of business will be to elect permanent officers for the Division, in particular a Chair, Vice-Chair and Newsletter Editor.

Meeting Agenda

  1. Introduction of meeting attendees
  2. Short history of the Division's history
  3. Election of Officers
  4. Selection of technical representatives for the SOLAR 2008 annual conference.  One of these will serve on the Conference Technical Review Committee, and the second will serve as a reviewer for water-related abstracts.
  5. Creation of a working group to develop technical forums of interest in the area of Clean Energy and Water for the SOLAR 2008 conference in San Diego.
  6. Review and comments on draft Division By-laws (these will be available at the meeting.)
  7. Adoption of By-laws, as amended
  8. Discussion of nominating a Division member to represent the Division on the ASES Board
  9. Discussion of the document  “Minimum Activities for ASES Divisions to be considered Active”, written by the ASES Divisions Committee (to be provided at the meeting)
  10. Brainstorming ideas for next Division Newsletter
  11. Other business
