Part of Annual Dome Tour organized by Monolithic.com of Italy Texas.
Roger and Carol Stout (owners/occupants) built this dome in 2006. Monolithic thin-shell concrete, it features 3000 sq.ft. living space (2100 downstairs, 900 upstairs loft), 3 bedrm, 2-1/2 bath. Energy use is about half that of standard traditional frame construction. (For example, a 4-ton A/C suffices to cool the structure.)
