The Little Rock Audubon Center houses the National Audubon Society’s Arkansas field office, as well education and meeting space. The 420-acre Audubon Center campus offers nature education and recreation opportunities. The Center’s green features includes: renovation of an existing building rather new construction; strawbale insulation covered by Arkansas mud (see the window at the main entrance); rain water cisterns; Chimney Swift towers; a native plant pollinator garden; a rain garden; and efficient lighting and water systems.
