Host Comments: The photovoltaic system is tied the grid. We directly use about 30% of the generated power; the remainder is sold back to our provider. Between the direct usage and credit for the excess generation the PV system provides for about 80% of our electric usage. Our only electric bills have been in the summer months, our highest bill since we installed the PV system was $110, and our highest bill this year was $68.
