San Diego, CA 92117
Be sustainably inspired! Join energy experts, contractors, property owners, building and sustainability managers county-wide for a guided, behind-the-scenes tour of six commercial energy solution innovators during the Commercial Leg of the San Diego Renewable Energy Society’s 13th San Diego Solar Tour, slated for Friday, September 20, from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
The tour commences at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E’s) LEED Platinum Energy Innovation Center, where you’ll be privy to the latest in money-saving energy efficiency, (lighting, materials, HVAC, energy management), cool roof, solar and electric vehicle charging innovations for businesses.
From there, hop on a CNG-bus where you’ll be whisked to five unique locations for behind-the-scenes tours with local contractors and property owners whose solutions — from energy efficiency, fuel cell, solar water heating, solar electric (PV), electric vehicle charging and independent energy back-up systems — are being employed to:
•Slash energy costs;
•Improve property values;
•Realize 30% federal tax credits;
•Qualify for rich cash incentives
•Create a more comfortable work/living environment
•Attract and retain good tenants;
•Meet AB 1103 requirements;
•Build a sustainable brand; and
•Create a more sustainable San Diego future.
Enjoy presentations and lively Q&A with the contractors responsible for installing the tour’s main assets, including Home Energy Systems, SunUp Energy, PURE Solar Power, Adroit Solar, SolarCity (for US Bank) and Envision Solar.
SDG&E energy experts and technology innovators will share information about free workshops, efficiency incentives and cost-cutting strategies as you travel to each commercial tour destination. And learn about the latest ways to finance similar projects with US Bank, SD Metropolitan Credit Union and PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) provider FIGTREE.
Space is limited. Reserve your place on this interactive educational field trip today. This event is free and open to property owners, building and corporate sustainability managers interested in learning how they, too, can employ today’s energy innovations to improve their bottom lines while driving the momentum of San Diego’s clean tech future. A $20 donation is suggested to help the non-profit SDRES cover transportation costs.
