Become a SOLAR 2008 Participating Organization

The National Solar Energy Conference – SOLAR 2008 - is organized by the American Solar Energy Society, Inc. (ASES); it’s California Chapters – the San Diego Renewable Energy Society (SDRES), the Northern California Solar Energy Association (NorCal Solar) and the Redwood Empire Solar Living Association (RESLA) and the California Center for Sustainable Energy. These presenters are responsible for all organizational details. The Conference program is developed by the National Organizing Committee and the Conference Technical Committees.

The National Solar Energy Conference also includes participation from not for profit organizations with related missions. In return for encouraging their members and constituents to attend the conference, participating organizations receive numerous benefits including:

Identification on Publicity Materials
Participating Organizations will be listed on the Conference website, other publicity materials, and the conference registration form.

Registration Discount for Members
Participating Organizations’ members will receive the lowest Conference registration prices.

Priority Consideration of Session Proposals
Participating Organizations may prepare and submit proposals for Workshops and Forums. These proposals will be given priority consideration by the selections committees. For more information on preparing proposals for SOLAR 2008, please click here >>

Complimentary Meeting Space
Participating Organizations will receive complimentary meeting space at the Conference, and listing of their meeting(s) in conference publicity materials, if desired. Anticipated A/V, food and beverage costs for any meetings will require a separate contract with the Conference Hotel. For more information, or to request meeting space, please click here >>

Discounted Exhibit Booth Rental
Participating Organizations will receive a 25% discount on the lowest booth rental price. For more information on Exhibiting at SOLAR 2008, click here >>

Participating Organizations, in return, are expected to provide:

Conference Marketing Assistance
Participating Organizations agree to market the Conference to their members and constituents, including:

  • Provide membership mailing or e-mail list to ASES for mailing of publicity materials (optional)
  • Advertise the event in Organization newsletters or publications
  • List the event on the Organization’s website, with a direct link to the conference website
  • Encourage members/constituents to submit abstracts, proposals, and attend the conference

Other Conference Assistance
Participating Organizations will encourage their members to stay at the conference hotel.

A representative of the Participating Organization is required to sign an agreement stipulating to the terms and benefits listed here. In order to receive all of the above benefits, the agreement must be signed no later than December 31, 2007.
