Solar 2008 Session Types
The SOLAR 2008 Preliminary Program will be available at the end of December, 2007. At that time, links to each type of session in the program will be available.
Plenary Sessions at SOLAR 2008 will all focus on the conference theme, and will be designed to showcase speakers of the highest caliber – the acknowledged leaders of the Renewable Energy community. Attendance at Plenary Sessions is included in full conference registration.

Forums can include case studies, panel discussions, interactive peer-to-peer or teaching sessions. All Forums are 90 minutes long and address one focused topic. Attendance at Forum Sessions is included in full conference registration.

Technical Sessions will include presentations of work submitted as technical papers. Technical papers will be compiled into a conference proceedings that will be given to all conference registrants. Technical Sessions are 90 minutes long and will include 4 to 6 presentations addressing a similar topic. Attendance at Technical Sessions is included in full conference registration.

Business Meetings are conducted by participating organizations. Any meetings listed in the Final SOLAR 2008 printed program are open to all conference registrants.

Special Events include luncheons, dinners, the conference social event, and other events that require separate registration. You do not have to register for the conference to register for a special event.
Schedule and descriptions >>
Workshops provide a more detailed and structured treatment of relevant topics in a much longer format that 90 minute conference sessions. Workshops are typically four or eight hours long. Workshops require separate fees and registration. You do not have to register for the conference to sign up for a workshop.

Tours highlight local attractions and renewable energy installations. Tours require separate registration. You do not have to register for the conference to sign up for a tour.

Dealer/Installer Trainings
Manufacturers who are exhibiting at SOLAR 2008 often will conduct training sessions for current and potential Dealers and Installers of their products. These sessions are usually free, but may require registration.

Public Events will include consumer-oriented workshops, films, local celebrities, and ASES Chapter Activities.

Exhibit Hall will be open to the public on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4 for a $5 fee. The hall will be open to conference registrants only on Monday, May 5 and Tuesday, May 6. The Exhibit Hall will include staffed displays of Renewable Energy Products and Services.
