Information for Confirmed Forum Speakers

Forums are 90 minute sessions that take an in-depth look at one timely topic. Forums are proposed by individuals as full sessions, and if accepted by the SOLAR 2008 National Organizing Committee, are organized by the person who submitted the original proposal. Forum speakers will receive an invitation from the organizer, and after a commitment to speak, will receive a confirmation e-mail from the conference organizers.

In order for all sessions to run smoothly and all speakers to have the maximum amount of time for their presentations, all presentations will be pre-loaded onto the conference computers. This also enables us to capture and share your presentation with others after the conference, if you give us permission to do so.

Session Schedule
Forum sessions are 90 minutes in length. Your confirmation letter should tell you when and how long you are scheduled to speak.
The Preliminary Program will be posted in December. To find your session date and time:

• go to the Forum Section of the Program >>
• Click Ctrl + F, and type your last name. This will find your name in the Preliminary Program.

Presentation Instructions
Please bring your Powerpoint presentation with you to the Speakers' Breakfast on the morning you are scheduled to speak. Your Session Moderator or Chair will load the presentations onto the session room computer before the session. Please bring either a CD-ROM or a flash or thumb drive. Please make sure you also have a back-up of your presentation with you (on a different CD or drive). You ARE NOT required to submit your presentation before the conference.

Computers will be PC's.

Electronic presentations must be prepared using PowerPoint Presentation software.

PowerPoint Presentations
PowerPoint presentations will be saved, converted to PDF files, and available on the conference website after the conference. Agreeing to speak in a Forum session at the National Solar Conference implies consent to having your presentation converted and available on-line after the conference.
