Information for Confirmed Plenary Speakers
Plenary sessions at SOLAR 2008 will all focus on the conference theme, and will be designed to showcase speakers of the highest caliber – the acknowledged leaders of the Renewable Energy community.
In order for all sessions to run smoothly and all speakers to have the maximum amount of time for their presentations, all presentations will be pre-loaded onto the conference computers. This also enables us to capture and share your presentation with others after the conference, if you give us permission to do so.
Session Schedule
Plenary sessions are 90 minutes in length. Your confirmation letter should tell you when and how long you are scheduled to speak.
The Preliminary Program will be posted in December. To find your session date and time:
Presentation Instructions
Please bring your Powerpoint presentation with you to the Speakers' Breakfast on the morning you are scheduled to speak. Your Session Moderator or Chair will load the presentations onto the session room computer before the session. Please bring either a CD-ROM or a flash or thumb drive. Please make sure you also have a back-up of your presentation with you (on a different CD or drive). You ARE NOT required to submit your presentation before the conference.
Computers will be PC's.
Electronic presentations must be prepared using PowerPoint Presentation software.
Videotaping
All Plenary sessions will be videotaped for later distribution. Sales of DVD's of plenary sessions benefit ASES programs, and may be webcast and distributed to ASES members. Agreeing to speak in a Plenary session at the National Solar Conference implies consent to being videotaped and being included on DVD's and other media produced and distributed during and after the conference.
PowerPoint Presentations
PowerPoing presentations will be saved, converted to PDF files, and available on the conference website after the conference.
Agreeing to speak in a Plenary session at the National Solar Conference implies consent to having your presentation converted and available on-line after the conference.
