<p><strong> </strong>This year&#8217;s <a href="http://smallhydro.co" target="_blank">Colorado Small Hydro Conference</a> is being held in conjunction with the American Solar Energy Society&#8217;s (ASES) annual conference and the World Renewable Energy Forum (WREF). Hydropower now provides about 5% of Colorado&#8217;s electricity, with almost 70 operating hydropower facilities, ranging in size from 5 kW to 300 MW. There are hundreds of megawatts of currently undeveloped hydropower available at existing impoundments and diversions as well existing municipal water systems.</p>
