
Steven Chu, the Secretary of Energy for the Department of Energy, spoke at WREF 2012 about the plausible expansion and the economic opportunity of renewable energy nationally while taking renewables out of the political debate.

Secretary Chu, Secretary of Energy, and Santiago Seage, CEO of Abengoa Solar, spoke of how these industries can work together to strengthen the renewable energy market at WREF 2012.

The Energy Department will make up to $9 million available this year to fund approximately 50 small businesses working on innovative energy-efficiency and renewable-energy technologies.
