The electric car pioneer, Telsa Motors, has recently reached its goal of producing 400 Model S electric cars per week, which is around 20,000 per year. This is a huge step for the success of Telsa in the automotive industry considering most larger corporations have difficulty with electric car sales. This advance in productivity also means that customers on a waiting list for Model S cars will be getting them sooner. The electric car industry is still extremely new and a major transition to electric will be very slow. For instance Telsa was founded in 2003 and has had difficulty making it to mainstream auto status, so this recent boom in productivity should be very beneficial.
