Tour Description: Arizona tours will occur every weekend between the end of September and the beginning of November, at various communities and locations around the State. Tours to include buildings and sites embodying Passive and Active Solar, Renewable Energy, Resource Efficiency, Green Building, and Sustainability. How to Take this Tour:
Tours vary from guided to self guided. Some are time limited while others last an entire weekend. The Phoenix Tour has an allied special event on Sunday, with limited numbers and a donation fee. Go to  www.azsolarcenter.com for information.

Tour Of Sustainable Homes

Tour Description: We will have homes that have active and passive solar features. Some are straw bale homes, incorporate greywater systems and many more sustainable features.
Tour Fee: Contributions to Willow Bend will be accepted
How to Take this Tour: The tour is from 9am to 1pm and is located at the Willow Bend Center For Environmental Education, 703 Sawmill Road, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. Participants will be given descriptions and maps to homes.

Tucson Innovative Home Tour and Tucson Solar Tour

How to Take this Tour: Self-guided! Tour map and home descriptions plus tour times will be available online at azsolarcenter.com website a week before the tour. Maps will also be available at New Frontier's in Sedona and Mount Hope Foods in Cottonwood. We prefer folks to download their own.

West Sedona Home Tour

Tour Description: Monolithic dome home that started an off-grid solar neighborhood. Solar and wind powered generated backup power, solar oven. Heating and cooling cost for first three years was $15 per year. See this most passive design and solution for energy independence.
Tour Fee: $5 donation
How to Take this Tour: 10 am to 4 pm. Take 89A from Sedona to Dry Creek Road north. Drive about 2.6 miles to the first stop sign. Turn Left on Boynton Pass Road, drive 1.8 miles to second stop sign and turn left (still on Boyton Pass Road) and drive 2.8 miles. Turn Right at the Bear Mt. Road sign and across the cattle guard. The Dome Home Tour is at the 2nd driveway on the right, #320.
