Tour Description: This is a self-guided tour. You choose homes to visit from the
brochure. Half of our 30+ homes/businesses will be open for Tour on Saturday Oct 7 and half on
Oct 8. Printed brochures will be available to help you decide which of these many sites you want
to visit.
Tour Fee: FREE
How to Take this Tour: We will have new and remodeled older homes, urban
and country homes, solar PV, hot water, space heating, active, passive, straw bale,
you name it ! We will have a guided bike tour.
Tickets will be available through stores listed on our website,
www.solartour.org
by September 1.

Tour Description: The Ernie Morgan Environmental Action Center is the highlight of
Hampton Roads' first Solar Energy Tour. The Center features a photovolatic system that
generates approximately 40% of the buildings power as well as other passive features. Plans
for a LEED Platinum level expansion of the Center will be displayed.
Tour Fee:
Suggested donation $5.00
How to Take this Tour: Visit the Center, located in Lafayette Park, next to the
Virginia Zoo, 3500-A Granby Street in Norfolk. Tour hours are 10am to 2pm on
Saturday, Oct. 7th. New locations may be added prior to Oct. 7. Contact us at 441-
