Tour Description: Tour a variety of solar, Green and sustainable buildings ranging from new to retrofit; from standard construction to straw bale and even a house built out of waste paper; from private residences to public and institutional buildings and sites; and including the APS Solar Test and Research facility Open House. Meet the people who live  and work in this variety - all sharing the same concern for sustainability and wise, personal energy responsibility.

How to Take this Tour: Self guided. South half of the Valley sites will be open Saturday the 20th and North end of the Valley will be on Sunday. Tour maps, descriptions and directions can be downloaded from the www.azsolarcenter.com website the week prior to the tour. Hard copies can be picked up at designated locations identified on the www.azsolarcenter.com  website.

How to Take this Tour: All tours are self guided except Taylor. Specific directions re: Guide map pick-up points are identified on the www.azsolarcenter.com website. Taylor tour will occur at Val-U-Solar starting point.

West Sedona Home Tour

Tour Description: Monolithic dome home that started an off-grid solar neighborhood. Solar and wind powered generated backup power, solar oven. Heating and cooling cost for first three years was $15 per year. See this most passive design and solution for energy independence.
Tour Fee: $5 donation
How to Take this Tour: 10 am to 4 pm. Take 89A from Sedona to Dry Creek Road north. Drive about 2.6 miles to the first stop sign. Turn Left on Boynton Pass Road, drive 1.8 miles to second stop sign and turn left (still on Boyton Pass Road) and drive 2.8 miles. Turn Right at the Bear Mt. Road sign and across the cattle guard. The Dome Home Tour is at the 2nd driveway on the right, #320.
