Tour Description:
Tour 8 unique and beautiful homes and businesses that feature
renewable energy systems and green building. The homes are clustered
in Paonia and Crawford.
Tour Fee:
$10
in advance, $12 the day of the tour
How to Take this Tour:
There will be an introductory talk at the Blue Sage in Paonia on
Friday, October 5th, from 7-9pm with Jim Heneghan from DMEA. On
Saturday, October 6th, the tour runs from 10am until 4pm. Pick up
guidebooks at one of our two locations:

Crawford Country Store in downtown Crawford
A reception at The Creamery in Hotchkiss is open for all
participants from 6:30-8:30pm after the tour.

Tour Description:
We have a number of grid-tied photovoltaic systems, solar thermal
(hot water) systems, an earthship with a photovoltaic system, a
geodesic growing dome, and you will also be able to visit a business
where biodiesel is made from vegatable oil
obtained from local restaurants.

Take this Tour:
This year's tour will start at Colorado Springs
Utilities' Conservation and Environmental Center, 2855 Mesa Road in
Colorado Springs. At the CEC, which will be open from 9am to 3pm,
you can get a free compact fluorescent light
bulb and see a variety of displays on energy and water
conservation, geothermal heating and
cooling, and alternative fuels vehicles including Sparky, the
electric "Volts-Wagen."

The Nature Center, where the tour starts, will have displays from a

products. Guests will then pick up a guide

will be present in each home to explain the green and solar features
of their home and landscape.

Begin the tour at the Greenway and Nature Center where you can get
lots of information from vendors and seminars, then take the home
tour based on which homes in the guide you select to visit.
The Nature Center
is located at 5200 Nature Center Road, Pueblo, CO 81003. That is
west of Pueblo Boulevard, opposite 11th Street; the road dead-ends
in the center.
